Discover the joy of music with Beginner Violin! This elective is designed for students with little to no prior experience who want to learn the fundamentals of playing the violin. You’ll explore essential techniques such as proper posture, bowing, and finger placement while developing your ability to read sheet music and play simple melodies.
In addition to individual practice, students will have opportunities to play in small groups, fostering teamwork and ensemble skills. The course emphasizes patience, perseverance, and the rewarding process of making music. By the end of the semester, students will perform a selection of beginner-level pieces, showcasing their progress and newfound confidence as musicians.
