Stop motion animation is an exciting and creative form of animation that students will explore in this elective. It is similar to a flipbook, where objects are photographed and manipulated in each frame to create the illusion of movement. In this course, students will gain a comprehensive understanding of the stop-motion animation process. They will have the opportunity to bring their own ideas to life by designing and constructing their very own stop-motion animation puppets. With their puppets in hand, students will learn how to animate them by carefully manipulating their movements in split-second increments. This interactive and hands-on experience will allow students to express their artistic abilities while enhancing their understanding of animation techniques. Get ready to bring inanimate objects to life and create captivating stories through the magic of stop-motion animation!
